Weymouth known as “the Naples of England” has golden sands that stretch for 3 miles along the coastline and is often referred to as one of the most beautiful beaches in the British Isles. As well as offering spectacular and panoramic views across the bay, the beach is home to a wide-variety of activities and entertainments, including the famous Nothe Fort and Sandsfoot Castle. The weekend will be yours to do whatever you fancy! We’ll set off first thing on Saturday morning, staying the night in a B&B and return home by sunset on Sunday.

Henley Traditional Jazz Cruise

We’ll get to Henley in plenty of time for some lunch and perhaps a bit of shopping before we embark on ‘The New Orleans’, Hobbs of Henley’s paddle steamer on which we’ll enjoy the sounds of a traditional jazz band as we sail downriver on a 3-hour cruise before heading back to Henley. The boat features a cash bar for the purchases of drinks. Ideal for lovers of jazz.

Clacton Air Show

An airshow has been a feature of summer entertainment at Clacton for 29 years so they are well practised at providing an excellent show in the air as well as around the shore with trade stands, food courts and on-site entertainment! The Red Arrows are also a regular feature, and although they were unable to attend in 2019 because of their tour of the USA and Canada, hopes are high that they will be back in Clacton again this year!

River Cruise on Norfolk Broads

We’ll enjoy a memorable river experience on the ‘Southern Comfort’, a luxury double-deck paddle river cruiser, from the lovely village of Horning, along the River Bure through the village and out to Ranworth Broad and back, passing lovely old thatched houses, windmills and Norfolk reed beds. Throughout the trip there will be an informative commentary along with the bustle of river traffic with cruisers, yachts and the occasional wherry.
