Lussmans, Harpenden

Situated in an 18th century former coach house overlooking Leyton Green, Lussmanns in Harpenden has a delightful rural character and feel, with a charming walled garden. The restaurant is described by Open Table as a pretty restaurant, with a good ambience, excellent food and friendly staff. The restaurant also appears in the Sunday Times’ list of the 100 Best Places to Eat in the UK.

The King Stag, Bushey - Watford

The King Stag was built with a Tudor-inspired style in 1866, keeping most of its original features and later re-built in around 1900. It was completely refurbished in 2013 and opened by experienced chef Robert Beckley and his brother-in-law. Their ethos is to focus on locally sourced, high quality, fresh food and drink served in a friendly and professional way. Keeping it local, most of their suppliers are within twenty miles of the pub and their food is freshly cooked on site.

The Beehive, Epping Green - Hertford

Wednesday 19th February - Depart: 11.45am


Food is an integral part of The Beehive's success, with fresh fish and seafood delivered daily from Billingsgate, but there are also meat options, sandwiches, light bites, jacket potatoes and vegetarian options. Hanging baskets and window boxes adorn the frontage all year round, and inside it’s traditional to the core, with black beams, a log burner and ornamental brasses but with a modern touch. It is believed that King Harold himself had passed through Nazeing stopping at the King Harold Head pub for an ale, hence the name.
