CHANGE OF DATE
We will start our Kent visit at Chiddingstone Castle, learn about its history and about Denys Eyre Bower and his art collections. Then a short walk around the grounds, through the Ancient Egyptian inspired grass maze and over to the Victorian Orangery. We’ll stop for refreshments in the Tea Room, and then finish our visit at the Gift Shop and the Antiques and second hand bookshop. We’ll then go on to the outstanding 600 year old estate of Knole House: originally built as an archbishop’s palace, Knole passed through royalty to the Sackville family, who still live there today.
